Progress Reports

Progress Reports, administered through Navigate, allow APP staff to gather feedback on student performance. This helps identify potential barriers to student success and determine which students may need intervention and referral to campus resources.

Based on faculty feedback, students may be referred to the resources that will best help them improve in their classes and prepare for upcoming midterms.

How to Submit Progress Reports

Progress Reports in Navigate allow APP staff to gather feedback on student performance. This helps identify potential barriers to student success and determine which students may need intervention and referral to campus resources.

Progress Report Alert Type

  • Academic Issue: Notifies an academic coach of a ٳܻԳ’s concerning academic performance on quizzes, exams, and assignments
  • If needed, you may submit both alert reasons for a student

To Submit Your Progress Reports

  1. Open the email from APP Navigate requesting student feedback, click the link
  2. On the Student Feedback portal, you will see a roster of students for each course section. Fill out the fields as needed for your students.
  3. Use the first field to indicate if the student is showing concerns -- If yes, continue to step 4; if no, you can proceed to the next student in the list and do not need to mark anything if there is no concern.
  4. If you have a concern for this student, select an alert reason (see chart to right)
  5. These fields are optional, but can provide insight to staff to help intervene. When possible, provide comments as to why the Alert Type was chosen
  6. Once you have completed your list, you can proceed to the Submit section
    1. If you have more than 500 students, you must complete steps 2-5 and then click “Submit Only Marked Students” in order to clear the marked students. Your remaining students/sections will be viewable in groups of 500.
    2. If you have less than 500 students, you can mark just your at-risk students as “Yes” in step 3, complete steps 4-5, and then select “Submit Unmarked Students as Not At-Risk” Progress Reports

Once Submitted

  • A student success professional will reach out to the student to help connect them to the best resources possible.
  • An automatic email is sent to all students marked as a concern with immediate resources available to them.
