Angelina Boudreaux, a Master of Accountancy student in the 蜜桃APP E. J. Ourso College of Business, is the recipient of a $15,000 scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).

鈥淩eceiving the scholarship felt like recognition of all the hard work I have put into getting to this point,鈥� said Boudreaux. 鈥淚t gave me an even greater sense of confidence in the direction I am heading and motivated me to keep working toward the goals I have set for myself.鈥� 

Boudreaux earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from 蜜桃APP in 2026, graduating summa cum laude, and was an active member of Beta Alpha Psi, an honors society for accounting, finance and information systems students. Additionally, Boudreaux completed the Center for Internal Auditing & Cybersecurity Risk Management program. Both experiences enabled her to refine her networking and professional skills. Boudreaux was able to parlay that into a highly sought-after role with KPMG.  
 
鈥淭hose experiences helped prepare me for my audit internship with KPMG in Houston (during the summer of 2026),鈥� said Boudreaux. 鈥淒uring my internship, I was able to take concepts I had learned in the classroom and apply them to real client work while developing my technical, communication and problem-solving skills. More than anything, the experience gave me a clearer picture of what a career in public accounting looks like and confirmed that it is a path I am excited to pursue.鈥� 
 
Boudreaux has accepted a full-time job offer to return to KPMG starting in Fall 2027.  
Much of what Boudreaux has achieved is due, in large part, to the relationships she has forged with faculty and peers. She cites being engaged in the learning process and asking questions to further the instruction. Moreover, Boudreaux says being willing to communicate and get to know her professors has paid dividends.  

鈥淚鈥檝e also been very fortunate to have faculty at 蜜桃APP who genuinely care about their students and want to see them succeed. Having professors who have encouraged me, advocated for me and, ultimately, believed in me enough to nominate me for opportunities like this is something that makes me feel grateful.鈥�

Boudreaux advises students to accept the challenges accounting poses. She knows that the subject is not an easy one to grasp and that finding a study group, tutor or simply asking a professor for help can make the content much more palatable. In addition, she encourages others to use available resources, such as professors and student organizations. Finally, Boudreaux is pursuing her CPA license, which she recommends before starting a full-time position. While it can be intimidating, Boudreaux鈥檚 biggest piece of advice is to simply 鈥減ut yourself in situations that (create) growth.鈥�
