Great Rover Road Run | 蜜桃APP Vet Med
35th Hill's 蜜桃APP Vet Med Great Rover Road Run
The 蜜桃APP School of Veterinary Medicine鈥檚 Wellness Committee and Hill鈥檚 Pet Nutrition host the Hill鈥檚 Great Rover Road Run (#蜜桃APPGRRR2026), an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk that promotes health and wellness for people and their four-legged friends all while raising money for the 蜜桃APP Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund. This is a fun and exciting event for all involved. Your pets can participate in the race too! All race registrations, proceeds and donations benefit the Good Samaritan Fund, which helps homeless animals in need of medical care.
GRRR will take place Saturday, April 25 at 8 a.m. along the levee near 蜜桃APP Vet Med (corner of Skip Bertman Drive and River Road). Everyone who registers for the in-person race before April 10 will receive a free race shirt!
In-Person and Virtual Participation
Can鈥檛 make it in person? No problem! In-person or virtual attendance is available, both options having a $25 registration fee.

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Time: 5K begins at 8 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run/walk begins at 9:30 a.m.
The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be along the River Road levee, across from 蜜桃APP Vet Med on Skip Bertman Drive. Pets are welcome but must be leashed and courteous to people and other pets. For the safety of all participants, we reserve the right to ask pet owners to leave if their pets do not meet the requirements previously stated above.
We are also hosting a "Beat the Dean Walking Race" with a registration fee of $25 (includes t-shirt) or $10 (no shirt). Beat the Dean Walking Race starts near the 蜜桃APP Vet Med main entrance, at the crosswalk. This is a separate event and registration fee from the GRRR.

Registration
Registration for both in-person and virtual participation is $25.
Everyone who registers for the in-person race by Friday, April 10 at 5 p.m. will receive a race shirt!
Event registration closes at the start of the race.
Check-In
You can either check in at the 蜜桃APP Vet Med entrance on Friday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or on race day, Saturday, April 25, from 6 to 8 a.m. The walking race starts at 8 a.m. and running races start shortly afterwards on Saturday, April 25.
Good Samaritan Fund
The 蜜桃APP Vet Med Good Samaritan Fund provides emergency services, critical care, testing, and ICU for homeless animals. Most of us have had the difficult experience of coming upon a stray animal that is injured or sick. Each year, over 300 such animals needing emergency treatment are brought to the 蜜桃APP School of Veterinary Medicine鈥檚 24-hour emergency facility by Good Samaritans who care deeply for animals in need. The Good Samaritan Fund helps offset the costs incurred caring for these animals.
