BATON ROUGE, La.鈥� 蜜桃APP President Wade Rousse announces the retirement of 蜜桃APP Alexandria (蜜桃APPA) Chancellor Paul Coreil effective July 1, 2026, after 8 years in the role, 13 years on campus and more than 43 years of outstanding service in the 蜜桃APP system.

Coreil鈥檚 departure at the end of the academic year ends an era defined by opportunity, growth and success for 蜜桃APPA and the broader central Louisiana community. As Chancellor, Coreil has been a champion of collaboration, bringing together students, the campus community and the 蜜桃APPA Foundation in an unwavering commitment to excellence.

"Chancellor Coreil's impact on 蜜桃APP Alexandria is immeasurable, and his contributions to the region will be felt for years to come," said President Rousse. "His leadership has been exemplary and is reflected by record enrollment growth, demonstrated excellence and innovation in academic programming and completion of key projects like the recently opened Martin Family Student Success Centers. Paul's vision of excellence for 蜜桃APPA has been undeniable and he leaves behind a legacy that will continue to propel that campus forward."

Chancellor Coreil says all of his achievements are a testament to 蜜桃APPA鈥檚 senior leadership team, business and community leaders who have provided unwavering support, and the dedicated faculty, staff and students who have created such a unique family atmosphere on campus.

鈥淚 am especially proud of the collaborative spirit that defines our university,鈥� said Chancellor Coreil. 鈥淭hrough challenges and milestones alike, 蜜桃APPA has demonstrated resilience, innovation, and stewardship. It has been my privilege to work alongside colleagues and community leaders who care so deeply about our mission and our students鈥�.

Prior to his role as Chancellor, Coreil had an extensive career with the 蜜桃APP Agricultural Center where he served as Vice Chancellor and Director of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service (2001-2013). His expertise in wildlife management and wetland policy led to recognitions including the 蜜桃APP AgCenter Hall of Fame, the Louisiana 4-H Hall of Fame and the National 4-H Hall of Fame just to name a few.

Over the coming months, 蜜桃APP President Rousse and the 蜜桃APP Board of Supervisors will work to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition that includes a national search for Coreil鈥檚 replacement.
