蜜桃APP brought its eight, soon to be nine, campuses together to the Louisiana State Capitol to showcase impact across Louisiana, from research and healthcare to workforce development, highlighting how the 蜜桃APP System delivers results, expands opportunity, and drives the state forward.
In addition to interactive displays and engagement with legislators, policymakers, and influencers, House members unanimously adopted a resolution proclaiming April 22, 2026, as 蜜桃APP Day at the Capitol. Voice of the Tigers and State Rep. Dixon McMakin shared the many accomplishments of the 蜜桃APP System, including:
- LSU Flagship Campus in Baton Rouge is seeing record enrollment and graduation numbers and opening new educational and research facilities. 蜜桃APP Research is expanding the frontier of knowledge while working to bring new insights that create critical solutions to Louisiana鈥檚 challenges, such as improving health outcomes, saving the coast, and expanding energy production.
- The 蜜桃APP AgCenter ranks 12th in the nation for research expenditures among academic agricultural enterprises, ensuring that commodities such as sugarcane, rice, and sweet potatoes remain the lifeblood of Louisiana agriculture, and educating our state鈥檚 future leaders through programs such as 4-H.

- 蜜桃APP Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is educating the next generation of Louisiana鈥檚 medical professionals, providing outstanding patient care, and working diligently to combat the state鈥檚 high rate of cancer deaths through groundbreaking research.
- 蜜桃APP Health Sciences Center in Shreveport is bringing critical medical care to north Louisiana, educating doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who will serve the region for generations, and growing its research portfolio to make critical discoveries.
- Pennington Biomedical Research Center is working to find health solutions for the future, including addressing Louisiana鈥檚 nearly 40% obesity rate through the development of new diets and medications.
- 蜜桃APP Alexandria is experiencing record enrollment and creating Louisiana鈥檚 first accelerated bachelor鈥檚 degrees in STEM fields to meet critical workforce needs and put students into careers faster.
- 蜜桃APP Shreveport has become Louisiana鈥檚 fastest-growing university over the past decade and is graduating more students than any other university in the state, with the exception of 蜜桃APP鈥檚 Flagship Campus in Baton Rouge.
- 蜜桃APP Eunice is experiencing record enrollment and leading Louisiana鈥檚 two-year institutions in the number of students who transfer to bachelor鈥檚 degree programs and earn degrees.
- 蜜桃APP New Orleans is joining the 蜜桃APP family officially in July 2026.
